First Images of Nord Stream Pipeline Damages Released

The first images and video showing some of the extensive damages to the Nord Stream 1 pipeline were released on Tuesday by the Swedish newspaper Expressen.


"One thing to note, this is after the Swedish gov investigation dive. They may have removed sections and/or debris for evidence," independent defense analysis H I Sutton said.


From The Telegraph:
"It is only an extreme force that can bend metal that thick in the way we are seeing," Trond Larsen, a drone operator with the Norwegian company Blueye Robotics, told the Danish newspaper Expressen.

Mr Larsen, who piloted the submersible drone, said you could also see "a very large impact on the seabed around the pipe".
As I reported last week, Sweden abruptly pulled out of a joint investigation with Germany and Denmark and refused to release their findings due to "national security."

Russia was barred from taking part in their investigation.
