![]() The socialist Scottish Labour Party on Tuesday claimed to have "made history" with the passage of a bill forcing taxpayers to pay for "free" sanitary products for women and girls. "Tonight, we have made history," Scottish Labour said on Twitter. "Scotland will be the first country in the world to make access to free period products a legal right."
Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon hailed the unanimous passage of the "groundbreaking legislation."
Labour health spokeswoman Monica Lennon, who campaigned for the handouts over the past three years, cried after the bill was passed.
Lennon hailed the bill as "world-leading legislation."
Lennon retweeted a post praising how "we've come so far" in the "struggle" against "period poverty."
Forcing taxpayers to pay for their period products is the new "civil rights" for AWFLs.
Lennon also retweeted Chelsea Clinton heaping praise on the bill.
The cost of sanitary products in the UK is around $80 a year at most. Who exactly was this driving into poverty? According to a 2016 report from the NHS, women in their taxpayer-funded health care system overall have "14% higher expected lifetime hospital costs than men, largely due to the increased costs associated with the reproductive years, but also due to their longer life expectancy." "Average lifetime costs for men ranged from £43,358 for the most affluent group to £50,163 for the most deprived, and the respective costs for women ranged from £48,409 to £59,255," the report stated. ![]() "Equality" would entail bringing those numbers closer together, not pushing them farther apart. To give you an idea of how zany Scotland has become, Humza Yousaf of the Scottish Nationalist Party recently introduced a bill to arrest Scots for "hate speech" based off their dinner table conversations. The "Scottish Nationalist" earlier this year gave a speech in Parliament lamenting how the 96 percent White country his family moved to has too many White people in positions of leadership. White people are oppressing Yousaf by existing and men are oppressing women by not paying for their period products. According to leftoids, these are the "civil rights" struggles of our time!
