Memphis Prepares For The Coronavirus

Residents in Memphis, Tennessee on Monday began preparing for a potential coronavirus outbreak after a Shelby County schools employee who had contact with a patient that tested positive for the virus was placed on a cautionary quarantine along with at least 70 others.

Annie Jones was extra cautious when she went to Treadwell Middle School to pick up her nephew Monday.

She wore plastic bags from her head to her toes-- literally.

"They ain't giving us no up to date about what's going on," said Jones. "We don't know."
The CDC recommends people stand at least 6 feet away from each other, wash their hands regularly with soap and avoid touching their mouth, nose and eyes.
