"The CIA is something that we should all not only cherish but be saying thank you for every single day," so says actor John Krasinski who is the star of the Amazon web tv show "Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan."

From RT:
Season 2 of ‘Jack Ryan’ has been called an “infomercial for the CIA,” and “Amazon's big budget CIA recruitment video.” Reviewers at the Los Angeles Times called it “a strangely positive spin” on the CIA’s interference in Latin American democracies.

The plot sees the titular CIA analyst dispatched to Venezuela to stop the country from acquiring nuclear weapons. By its conclusion, only the installation of a Washington-backed government, aided by a CIA-funded military, stops Ryan from assassinating President Nicolas Reyes – a stand-in for Venezuela’s real-life socialist leader Nicolas Maduro.

Hitting the screens just months after the Trump administration declared its support for Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaido, and as talk of an invasion circulated in Washington, Venezuela’s cultural minister called the trailer for season 2 “crass war propaganda disguised as entertainment.”
Here's that comical trailer:

Here's how former CIA Director Mike Pompeo described the organization:

Hollywood and the Pentagon have been joined at the hip for decades. The Pentagon used to have an open deal where pretty much any major producer could get access to their military equipment if they agreed to let them influence their script.

"Jack Ryan" is produced by Jeff Bezos's Amazon which is a major government contractor and for years has been gunning for a $10 billion Pentagon cloud computing services contract (the Pentagon in October caused shock waves by giving the contract to Microsoft over Amazon and Amazon has formally challenged the decision) so it's no surprise Bezos would be eager to show his loyalty to the national security state.
