Conservative MP Slams Justin Trudeau For Promoting 'Extreme Multiculturalism'

Conservative MP Maxime Bernier slammed Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's "extreme multiculturalism" and warned his "cult of diversity will divide us into little tribes that have less and less in common."

OTTAWA — Conservative MP Maxime Bernier is taking issue with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's oft-repeated support for diversity in Canada, calling it a form of "radical multiculturalism."

In a series of tweets published late Sunday in both French and English, Bernier says he believes promoting too much diversity could have the effect of dividing Canada into 'little tribes' that cause division, erode Canada's identity and destroy what makes it a great country.

"Having people live among us who reject basic Western values such as freedom, equality, tolerance and openness doesn't make us strong. People who refuse to integrate into our society and want to live apart in their ghetto don't make our society strong," Bernier tweeted.

"Trudeau's extreme multiculturalism and cult of diversity will divide us into little tribes that have less and less in common, apart from their dependence on government in Ottawa. These tribes become political clienteles to be bought with taxpayers (money) and special privileges."

2/ Ethnic, religious, linguistic, sexual and other minorities were unjustly repressed in the past. We’ve done a lot to redress those injustices and give everyone equal rights. Canada is today one of the countries where people have the most freedom to express their identity.

3/ But why should we promote ever more diversity? If anything and everything is Canadian, does being Canadian mean something? Shouldn’t we emphasize our cultural traditions, what we have built and have in common, what makes us different from other cultures and societies?

Here's a quick thought experiment.

Which group do you think would work together better...

- Ten middle-aged Japanese men from Osaka, Japan with similar backgrounds.

Or:

- Ten people of all different ages, all different sexes (xe, xir, etc.), each from a separate nation around the world, none of whom speak the same language, none of whom have the same religion and many of which view their co-workers as eternal enemies due to historical conflicts.

As a True Progressive™, I believe it's blatantly obvious the latter group would have a MASSIVE edge. They would not only conquer space but probably invent a time machine within just a few days.

That said, many right-wing EXTREMISTS like Bernier clearly feel differently.

What's important is we never actually look at the scientific studies done on this and instead swiftly burn at the stake anyone who dares to question this liberal orthodoxy.

Speaking of burning things, we need only take one glance at Sweden to see how well this "extreme multiculturalism" is working out!
