Trump: Why Didn't The FBI Take The DNC's Servers To Investigate Alleged "Russian" Hacking?

In an interview Sunday on Fox Business, President Trump questioned why the FBI never got access to the Democratic National Committee's servers to investigate the claim that "Russians" hacked into their computers.

From RCP:
BARTIROMO: Are you going to mention the meddling when you meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin…–

TRUMP: I’d like to see some answers as to why we didn’t take the server, why the FBI didn’t take the server from the DNC. I want to see that…

BARTIROMO: Well, the DNC wanted to give it to a private company.

TRUMP: Well, can you believe it?

BARTIROMO: They didn’t want to give it to the FBI.

TRUMP: No, no. Can you believe it? Now, why didn’t the FBI take it? Look what they did to other people. Why didn’t they take it? How can the DNC say, “get out of here.” They threw them out of the office.

BARTIROMO: Yes. Well, the same people running both investigations. I mean, that’s why –

TRUMP: Did you ever see a difference in two investigations? And the difference is –

BARTIROMO: There was a huge difference –

TRUMP: – this one here did nothing wrong. There was no collusion, no nothing. The other one – and I’m not saying one way or the other, but you go back one. How about the emails, deleting 33,000 emails.

BARTIROMO: Right.

TRUMP: … we don’t even have to talk about the uranium and all the different things. Just tell me, you get a subpoena, and after getting the subpoena from the United States Congress, right, people go to jail for doing it under a civil case. They delete 33,000 emails.

BARTIROMO: And some of them got immunity.

TRUMP: Got immunity before the FBI even walked in. They walk in say you have a – and by the way, keep your laptops, and did they even say, “destroy your laptops,” or something? “In a week you can destroy your laptops?”
The FBI under Comey took the discredited CrowdStrike firm (which was hired by the DNC) at their word that their data indicated "Russians" hacked their server, even though CrowdStrike has been caught misrepresenting data in the past.

Comey's FBI failed to investigate the servers themselves to corroborate CrowdStrike's claims.

Julian Assange has said Russians were not the source of any leaks from the DNC given to Wikileaks. He said the same about the Podesta email leaks.

As The Hill reported last week, Julian Assange was working on an immunity deal with the US government but James Comey intervened to kill it.

It's been almost three years now and absolutely no evidence has been provided to the public proving Russians hacked into the DNC or John Podesta's emails.

The notion anyone would take our thoroughly discredited intelligence agencies at their word when they were caught meddling in the election with the aid of British intelligence is embarrassing.

As President Trump said when questioned about the intelligence agencies Russian hacking claims last year: "I remember when I was sitting back listening about Iraq. Weapons of mass destruction. How everybody was 100 percent sure that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. Guess what? That led to one big mess. They were wrong, and it led to a mess."
