Teen Charged For Filing False Report Claiming Man Tore Off Her Hijab, Threatened Her With Knife

A 13-year-old girl in Woodbridge, Virginia has been charged for allegedly filing a false police report claiming she was attacked by a "black man" who tore off her hijab, cursed at her, called her a "terrorist" and threatened her with a knife.

Officers say the girl originally reported to them that a man approached her on the afternoon of April 6 near Riverview Lane and Jato Court in Woodbridge. The girl told police that as she walked, the man confronted her, cursed at her and pulled a knife. The girl also told police that the man called her a terrorist and yanked off her headscarf, known as a hijab.

Police say detectives were able to determine that the victim falsely reported the alleged encounter. She faces charges of knowingly filing a false police report. The teen’s case will be handled in juvenile court.

Indian outlet News 24 Online called it, "Trump's America."

They've yet to correct the report.
