The Obamas issued a statement late Tuesday after it became abundantly clear Hollywood producer and top Democrat fundraiser Harvey Weinstein's alleged sex crimes could no longer be covered up. "Michelle and I have been disgusted by the recent reports about Harvey Weinstein," they said in a statement. "Any man who demeans and degrades women in such fashion needs to be condemned and held accountable, regardless of wealth or status." "We should celebrate the courage of women who have come forward to tell these painful stories," they said. "And we all need to build a culture -- including by empowering our girls and teaching our boys decency and respect -- so we can make such behavior less prevalent in the future." Similar to Hillary Clinton, Obama did not tweet out his quasi-condemnation to his 95.8 million Twitter followers.
Note too, they did not say they were "shocked" like Hillary Clinton and so many others claimed.
Also note they didn't say they'd be returning his generous donations. They didn't address the fact they sent their daughter Malia to work at Weinstein's company in New York despite the accusations against Weinstein being "an open secret" for three decades. Instead, we get a vague condemnation of "rape culture" -- which only exists in Democratic strongholds like Hollywood and Washington DC -- and an attack on all of "our boys" whom the Obamas say need to be taught "decency and respect." How about, "Harvey Weinstein need to be taught decency and respect"?
How about condemning Weinstein explicitly rather than merely expressing disgust over "recent reports"? As I said yesterday, Clinton and the Obamas don't want to condemn Weinstein because they know the real situation is far worse and these rape allegations are just scratching the surface of the sickening debauchery which goes down in Hollywood. If the truth ever came out, it would bring the whole Democrat-Hollywood complex down. Follow InformationLiberation on Twitter, Facebook and Gab. |
