CNN: Barcelona Attack Could Be 'Copycat' of Charlottesville

CNN's Wolf Blitzer said Thursday the van attack in Barcelona which killed at least 13 people could be a "copycat" attack of Charlottesville, even though there's been at least a dozen similar attacks by Muslims in recent times.

From Free Beacon:
CNN national security correspondent Jim Sciutto said the "shared tactics" of the attackers in both instances was "alarming."

"In light of the uproar of the last couple days, five days apart you have a white supremacist in Charlottesville use a vehicle to kill, and here you have attackers at least following the modus operandi of terrorists using vehicles apparently to kill as well, and those shared tactics should be alarming," Sciutto said.
"There will be questions about copycats," Blitzer said. "There will be questions if what happened in Barcelona was at all a copycat version of what happened in Charlottesville, Virginia. Even though there may be different characters, different political ambitions, they used the same killing device: a vehicle going at high speed into a group, a large group of pedestrians."
There's been around a dozen similar such attacks throughout the world, no doubt most of which Blitzer himself has reported on.

Here's an article from CNN from earlier this year noting how it's an ISIS tactic which they encouraged recruits to use first in 2010 and then again in 2014.

There was also a similar attack carried out by a Somali teenage "refugee" in America who injured 11 people at Ohio State University by ramming them with his car and then getting out and stabbing people with a knife.

There was massacres in Nice, France and Berlin, Germany, but also many smaller attacks which CNN details in their above article.

One of the attackers in Barcelona is reportedly a Moroccan.

You'll note with this latest attack, the media is not blaming "all Muslims" and calling for erasing Muslim people's history and tearing down their statues, even though the death toll is 13 times that of Charlottesville.

You'll also note they're not showing the heinous video of the aftermath of the attack, even though they showed the graphic video of the attack in Charlottesville on a constantly loop for multiple days straight.
