This is "part and parcel of living in a big city," as London's Muslim Mayor Sadiq Khan would say.

The Daily Mail is reporting the attackers were described as being "of Mediterranean origin" and shouted "this is for Allah":
Five jihadi terrorists shouting 'this is for Allah' have reportedly killed seven people and left dozens more injured in a horrific rampage around two locations in central London.

The men, described as being 'of Mediterranean origin', mowed down up to 20 people with a white van at 50mph on London Bridge on Saturday night, then began 'randomly stabbing' revellers with 12-inch hunting knives.

One person has been killed at London Bridge - and one of the casualties is reportedly a police officer.

The terrorists also stormed busy pubs and restaurants in the nearby Borough Market, where a man was reportedly stabbed five times in the chest. A 'dark-skinned' man in a red tracksuit 'calmly' stabbed a man three times, a witness said.

The gang had metal canisters strapped to their chests and two were reportedly shot dead by armed police. A search is underway for the three other men. One man has been arrested on Borough High Street.

A man said to be one of the terrorists has been pictured after being shot by police outside the Wheatsheaf pub in Borough Market. Witnesses said he was still alive.

50 armed police have entered Monument station with police dogs and bystanders have been told to run. Bank and Monument tube stations have been closed. There are also unconfirmed reports of gunfire on Southwark Street.

More from RT:
London police confirm they are dealing with three “incidents” in the city center on Saturday evening: a vehicle collision with pedestrians on London Bridge, reported stabbings in the Borough Market area and a third incident in Vauxhall.

In an unprecedented move, the Metropolitan police have tweeted, advising people to “run, hide and tell.”

Police cars, ambulances and helicopters have arrived at the scene, according to various eyewitness reports on Twitter.

The Metropolitan Police said they will release further information after making sure it is “accurate,” following social media reports that there was an attacker with a knife and gunfire heard in the area.

Conflicting accounts claimed that between one and three attackers jumped out of the van after it hit people and proceeded to stab people.

At least five people were injured on the bridge, the BBC reported. It was not immediately clear how grave the injuries were.

Police have confirmed they also “responded to an incident” in the nearby Borough Market after reports suggested there was a knife attack there.

Dramatic footage reportedly taken from inside the London Bridge Bar showed police ordering all the patrons to get on the ground and take cover.

According to Reuters: "A person who was on London Bridge after an incident on Saturday told a Reuters reporter that she saw three people who appeared to have their throats cut."

We're going to need a lot more hashtags if we're going to solve this problem.
