After Mexico President Enrique Pena Nieto insisted his country would not pay for our wall, Trump responded by telling him to pay up or cancel their planned meeting.

"The U.S. has a 60 billion dollar trade deficit with Mexico," Trump said on Twitter. "It has been a one-sided deal from the beginning of NAFTA with massive numbers of jobs and companies lost."

"If Mexico is unwilling to pay for the badly needed wall, then it would be better to cancel the upcoming meeting."

Here's Pena Nieto's statement from earlier:

It's hilarious this clown thinks he has any bargaining chips.

The money is going to come from Mexico either directly or through tariffs or taxes on remittances.

There's nothing they can do to avoid it.

If they simply stop interacting with the US and call their citizens home to avoid the payments, that's all the better as the wall will pay for itself due to money saved not having to pay for their welfare.

UPDATE: He canceled!

"This morning we have informed the White House that I will not attend the meeting scheduled for next Tuesday with the [President of the United States]," Nieto said on Twitter.

Mexicans here in America better get ready to dig deep into their pocketbooks!
