After initially coming out and saying she "stands by" her producer's statement that the "intention" of the fraudulent edits in her Anti-Gun documentary was "to provide a pause for the viewer," Couric has now thrown her under the bus and apologized.
Katie Couric released a statement Monday night in which she apologized for misrepresenting pro-gun voices in her gun control documentary Under the Gun. The statement comes days after it was determined that an eight-second pause had been inserted into the film that made members of the Virginia Citizens Defense League (VCDL) appear to be unsure or stumped by one of Couric's gun control questions. In reality, the VCDL members not only answered Couric's question immediately, but actually rebutted it.Poor thing didn't "raise her concerns" vigorously enough – can't you all see she's the real victim here?!

It's obvious she was hoping this would all blow over and be ignored – like I said at the time this is the type of fraudulent editing The Daily Show and others do every night – the only difference is she can't hide behind the whole "it's just a comedy show" spiel.
Trump came out and attacked her shortly after her statement was released:
The leftist media is crumbling before our eyes, this is truly without precedent and it's beautiful to watch.
