Maryland police and CPS agents snatched two "free-range" children off a park and failed to notify the panicked children's parents for hours, only releasing the children upon having the parents sign a "safety plan" demanding they act as helicopter parents and refuse to let their kids be unsupervised at any time.

This is the second time now this family's has been harassed by Maryland CPS for allowing their children to have some level of personal freedom.

From WUSA9:
SILVER SPRING, Md. (WUSA9) -- The Maryland parents accused of child neglect for letting their children roam freely had to retrieve their children from Child Protective Services after they were removed from a park Sunday by police.

Montgomery County Police and Child Protective services are in a joint investigation of Danielle and Sasha Meitiv for possible child neglect for allowing their children to walk freely.

At approximately 4:55 p.m., Montgomery County Police received a call to check on the welfare of the Meitiv children at a Silver Spring park. Police say officers found the children unattended.

s part of protocol, police say they called Child Protective Services and were told to bring the children to the agency.

The children, ages six and 10, were taken to Child Protective Services after being removed from the park. WUSA9's Andrea McCarren reported that the agency did not contact the Meitiv's for hours.

The Meitiv children were released to their parents at 10:30 p.m. on Sunday, Andrea McCarren reported.

In order to take their children home, the Meitiv's had to sign a safety plan that prohibits them from leaving their children unattended.

Fact is the biggest threat to these kids' safety is the government itself.
