In this video out of Texas, a cop is seen twisting a student's arm behind his back, then shoving it beyond the breaking point. You can audibly hear and see his arm snap. The student was already on the ground with another resource officer on top of him when the police officer decided to twist his arm as part of a "pain compliance" technique, why he then broke it is anyone's guess. Last month we covered a similar incident out of Rotterdam, New York where a cop did the same to a disabled student on a school bus. Unlike this incident, the student showed little to no resistance. Nonetheless, Rotterdam police said the officer acted "within protocol." |
