Piedmont Mom Gets $2,500 Ticket After Son, 3, Urinates In Yard

PIEDMONT, Oklahoma - A 3 year old gets his mom in trouble with the law when he gets a ticket from police. Now the little boy's mother will have to pay thousands of dollars for what the toddler did in their own front yard.

Dillan is being potty trained. His mother says he wasn't playing outside and wasn't near the facilities, so he unzipped.

News 9 was told before he could pee, a Piedmont police officer stopped him. It's a bathroom break that cost mom $2,500.

"Dillan pulled down his pants to pee outside. I guess and the cop pulled up and asked for my license and told me he was going to give me a ticket for public urination," the boy's mother, Ashley Warden, said.

"I said really, he is 3 years old, and he said it doesn't matter," said Dillan's grandmother, Jennifer Warden. "[He said] It is public urination. I said we are on our property and he said it's in public view."

20138 This is just NUTS. What's next, $3000 for letting your dog publicly urinate, because it is just about the same. No one reasonably expects a dog to learn to urinate in a toilet, nor do (anyone not brain dead) we expect an average 3 year-old to be able to hold it, or be totally potty trained. Things like this just tell me we have absolutely gone over to fascist, nutcase, authoritarian BS land.
The question is, did the policeman do this to persecute? (who has 2500 bucks lying around they dont need?) or to raise income for the town? Or as some arbitrary abusive way to make him feel like a big shot? Or a combination of several?

18488 I hope you take this to court and please find out how much this Public Paid police officer cost the tax payers. And have it taken out of her pay. That will fix her ass the next time she decided on wasting tax payers time with stupid shit like this. In Melbourne, Florida. A police officer shot and killed a man for stealing a beer and pack of cigarets. When are the police going to realize that they need to show intelligence when it comes to doing there jobs. And there bosses need to answer for them too when they act like idiots.
