68106 Government Licensing neither guarantees a Level of Quality nor Experience - All that is required to get a "home improvement contractor" license in most states is $$$$ money. No skills or knowledge of any trade is required nor tested for by the Government to obtain this type of license. News article is completely misleading and factually false. This is the Government controlling supply of services, driving up the price and costs of providing services, which harms all homeowners much more than the risk of a homeowner hiring someone who isn't qualified to perform the service.
