BRIGHAM CITY, Utah (ABC 4 News) - A former Box Elder County Sheriff's Office deputy has been charged for performing an inappropriate strip search of an 17-year-old girl he had taken to his patrol car for questioning.
18-year-old Tamsen Reid of Salt Lake County had previously sued former Box Elder County Sheriff's Deputy Scott Womack, claiming he forced her to take off her clothes during a traffic stop in November of 2010.
[...]Even though Reid claimed she'd removed her shirt, shorts and underwear for Womack, she refused to allow the deputy to check for "vaginal piercings," according to the civil suit.
