 Special interest groups have amassed 25,000 people in Cancun to promote the transfer of wealth from productive persons to their pockets, in the name of global warming. Participants include businesses, research institutions, and non-governmental organizations that stand to gain when governments tax us and funnel our wealth to them. A number of governments that seek wealth transfers from wealthier countries or else seek other restrictions and controls that would benefit them also are attending. All are propagating the myth of global warming as the cover story for their personal aggrandizement at the expense of working persons. Supra-national government bureaucracies find global warming to be a superb vehicle for their own expansion, as through the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, the Kyoto Protocol, and the Bali Roadmap.
