A former Kershaw County Sheriff's deputy caught on video as he beat a suspect has been indicted on federal charges of a civil rights violation. Oddie Tribble Jr., 51, of Columbia faces 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine for using excessive force against the suspect, who was hit while handcuffed at the Kershaw County Detention Center, U.S. Attorney Bill Nettles said.
