213122 Is this comic not a little glib? There are many examples I can think of where it's pretty much impossible to 'take precautions' without the intervention of government. It would be very hard for poor people working in a factory to force the management to introduce safety measures, for example. It would also be difficult to acertain whether or not any given product was safe to buy if there were no safety guidelines. For every product you wanted to buy you'd have to find someone else who had bought it and ask them how they found it. Of course legislation will never be perfect but can you really take the position that all legislation is unneccesary?

7616 Anonymous, you are a sheeple. Buying only from small business would be a start. The legal system has criminal interests protected, not yours. If you cripple a criminal defending your property, you work for him the rest of your life. We pay billions for warning labels, that do nothing, except line lawyers pockets. It's people like you that have doomed this nation.

24223 I love having no government. That's why I moved to Somalia.

Anon7616: What a short-sighted comment. People like you are totally out of their rockers - but then, that's what rampart materialism does, it disconnects you from reality.

Also your "advice" is totally impracticable and fantastical. It's impossible to buy only from small businesses.

You are exactly the kind of person why people of the world consider Americans totally ignorant, selfish and arrogant.

Just three days ago my father made a comment that included "...the man was selfish as only American republicans can be."

You have no soul, despite your constitution your country has never had a soul - you've sold your soul cheaper than Faust did. Your great pioneers founded your country by inhumane genocide - and you reap what you sow.

i've said it before here, Europeans may live under more totalitarianism than you do, but if you had freedom, you wouldn't even know what to do with it. You'd only equate it with being able to make more profit.

Not that any word i or anyone else could ever say can axually reach you. Bukowski said no one ever loses their whole soul, only 99% per cent of it, and i disagree with him. i think there are people who are so far gone they've lost the whole of their soul.

17469 @ freedom man: you pretty much destroyed any point you were trying to make when you 1. said it's impossible to only buy from small business and 2. when you spelled actually with a fuckin' x and minus a t. People buy locally all the time and while you may not be able to get certain high tech products from small businesses you can easily avoid buying from companies with dishonest business practices (Here's looking at you Apple) If you are willing to give up all of your liberties for a little bit of safety that's your prerogative and you can just take that shit to China, but don't insult the intelligence of the rest of us and say that we aren't smart enough to make our own decisions.
