Reports announcing that a man dubbed "Al Qaeda's Mad Scientist" was killed by a CIA drone strike on the Afghanistan-Pakistan Border have conveniently ignored the fact that the same guy was already announced dead two years ago by Pakistani authorities.

Multiple mainstream media reports have claimed that Chemical Weapons Expert Abu Khabab Al-Masri was killed in a missile attack on Monday. CBS reports:
One of al Qaeda’s top chemical and biological weapons experts was killed in an air strike by a CIA pilotless drone in a remote Pakistani border region, senior Pakistani intelligence officials told CBS News Tuesday morning. Intelligence officials investigating the early Monday missile attack confirmed that Midhat Mursi al-Sayid Umar, also known as Abu Khabab al-Masri was one of six men killed and his remains had been positively identified.

Flashback to January 2006 however, and we find that Mr al-Masri was already announced thoroughly dead:
ABC News has learned that Pakistani officials now believe that al Qaeda’s master bomb maker and chemical weapons expert was one of the men killed in last week’s U.S. missile attack in eastern Pakistan. Midhat Mursi, 52, also known as Abu Khabab al-Masri, was identified by Pakistani authorities as one of four known major al Qaeda leaders present at an apparent terror summit in the village of Damadola early last Friday morning. The United States had posted a $5 million reward for Mursi’s capture.

Another report from Counterterrorism blog stated:

According to a growing number of media reports, a recent U.S. airstrike on a Pakistani border village has likely killed a senior Egyptian Al-Qaida commander named Midhat Mursi (a.k.a. Abu Khabab al-Masri). Since the late 1980s, Abu Khabab has served as a top military aide and deputy to Dr. Ayman al-Zawahiri in Afghanistan. Mursi was responsible for co-managing Al-Qaida’s notorious Derunta military training complex near Jalalabad, where he maintained his own elite terrorist graduate school aptly named the “Abu Khabab Camp.”
Not only are we supposed to believe that Al Qaeda terrorists are everywhere, hiding behind every corner waiting to blow you away in the name of global jihad, we are also expected to believe that they have the power to rise from the dead to commit more atrocities after they have already been killed.

Of course, the powers that be have so little respect for you or I that they do not imagine we have the brain power to remember something from two and a half years ago. Either that or they do not even bother to keep tabs on which Al-CIA-da operative they announced killed at what time anymore, safe in the knowledge that the brainwashed and fatigued public will swallow anything if it is dressed up in an eye catching headline.

Of course there has to be an explanation for all this surely? Well yes, kind of. After the media interest died down, it was quietly announced in a footnote in a Washington Post article that in actual fact no al-Qaeda leaders perished in the 2006 airstrike and that it was in fact only local villagers that had been brutally murdered. What a surprise.

So al-Masri was cleared to be announced dead for a second time. Don't discount the third coming of al-Masri either. The State Department still has him listed as wanted.

It may not come as a surprise to some that al-Masri has been announced dead twice given that for a year and a half the CIA was using the wrong photo of him on their website, instead displaying the picture of radical London imam, Abu Hamza al-Masri. The motive behind this whole crock of bull story soon becomes clear:

CBS:
The timing of the report on al-Masri’s death also aroused suspicion - coinciding with a visit to the White House by Pakistani Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani. In the past week two U.S. officials, speaking on deep background, told CBS News that they expected Pakistan to overtly demonstrate its support for the U.S. fight against terrorism by assisting in the arrest or killing of an important Islamic militant, close to the time of Gilani’s Washington trip.

Financial Times:
Abu Khabab al-Masri, was one of six Arab men who were killed in a remote region along the Afghan border, according to an intelligence official. The US had offered a $5m (€3.19m, £2.5m) reward for his capture. Western diplomats said it would be a boost to morale in the Bush administration, struggling with mounting troop casualties in Afghanistan and a revival of militant attacks in Iraq.
New York Times:
Senior American officials, including Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice just three days ago, publicly scolded Pakistan for not doing more to root out safe havens like the one bombed on Monday in Azam Warsak, a village in South Waziristan near the Afghan border. Among those believed to have been killed in the missile attack, evidently carried out by a remotely piloted aircraft operated by the Central Intelligence Agency, was an Egyptian identified as a senior Qaeda trainer and weapons expert, according to residents and officials in the area, as well as American officials. Neither the operative’s identity nor that of the others has been confirmed.
The NY Times did note that al-Masri had already been killed but elected to just shill for the Bush cabal by announcing:
He was falsely reported to have been killed in a similar attack in January 2006 in news accounts that attributed the claim to Pakistani officials. The timing of Monday’s strike, the latest in a series by remotely piloted American aircraft inside Pakistan, coincided with the first official visit by Mr. Gilani to the United States.
And as the CIA has been at pains to let us know over the last few days, you can't trust those Pakistani intelligence officials when it comes to their involvement with Al Qaeda!

This incident once again serves to highlight the manufactured delusional smoke and mirrors propaganda that veils the reality of the fact that the "war on terror" is a ridiculous hoax. Of course, this is not the first time this has happened.

Back in February, the death of "senior Al-Qaeda leader" Abu Laith al-Libi was celebrated by Neo-Cons as a reason for continuing the endless war on terror - absent one crucial detail - the corporate media widely reported that another "senior Al-Qaeda leader" named al-Libi had been arrested back in May 2005.

This mattered little to 99% of the corporate media, who enthusiastically championed the arrest as a key victory in the war on terror and justifications that the "arrest of Al-Qaeda number three showed we are making progress" spewed forth from every Neo-Con orifice.

Previous to this incident, The U.S. military command in Iraq was forced to retract showpiece statements made in July 2007 that they had killed a high profile Al Qaeda leader due to the fact that they had already announced the killing one before.

When a reporter from The Examiner pointed out that Kamal Jalil Uthman's death had been announced twice, the military changed their story and replied: "You are correct that we did previously announce that we killed him. This was a roll up to show an overall effort against [al Qaeda in Iraq]. We can probably do a better job on saying 'previously announced' when we do long-term roll ups to show an overall effort."

Then there was also the mythical deity that was Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the supposed former leader of Al Qaeda in Iraq, who was apparently killed no less than five times by coalition forces.

He was first killed in the Sulaimaniyah mountains of northern Iraq, then he was killed in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul, followed by a death during Operation Matador near the town of Qaim on the Syrian border, then he was killed, along with his mentor, Osama bin Laden, in the besieged city of Fallujah, and finally met his fifth demise in a U.S. air raid north of Baghdad in the town of Hibhib near Baquba.

Before al-Zarqawi met his final demise it also seemed as if he had magical powers that enabled him to escape multiple captures.

Inquisitive questions into just how al-Zarqawi had managed such feats were answered last year when it was revealed via leaked internal military documents that al-Zarqawi was a neocon pet propaganda program. His role and actions had been consistently artificially magnified according to officers involved in the program.

Given that recycling information is all the rage, I will simply end with the same thing we wrote last time this kind of thing happened:

In this hyper-twilight zone dystopia, the architects are quite happy to recycle the same names of dead and captured terrorists over and over again without anyone calling them on it.

This callous deception and the way in which it just keeps being re-applied boggles the mind. They have succeeded in out-Orwelling George Orwell. At least in 1984, the proles were told they were at war with East Asia one year and the next year they were fighting Eurasia - at least the names changed!
