Recently, I sent an e-mail to County Executive Isiah Leggett voicing my negative opinion of the photo speed camera program in Montgomery County. In response I received an e-mail from a police officer who actually looked up my driving record in an effort to rebut my arguments against the program. Is this what we can expect from our government? What further invasion of privacy and efforts at intimidation are in store for us? Does Mr. Leggett consider the police department to be his personal ad hoc correspondence secretary? This would have never occurred under the late Neal Potter, our former county executive. Mark Romanoff, Silver Spring |
