Members of We Are Change Ohio were detained and pestered by mall security for handing out leaflets about 9/11 Truth, including demands for identification, which one guard claimed was "required in public under the Patriot Act." (see 7:50 in the video) The Dayton Mall security guards admitted the truthers were spotted on cameras, although they had only handed out information to the few people who asked about their 'Investigate 9/11' t-shirts. The guard in the parking lot told the individuals that they were "under investigation" and would be banned from the mall for six months. She insisted that they turn off the video camera and said the mall considered "charging them with trespassing," though they violated no laws and remained polite. One mall employee, in fact, even gave the We Are Change crew tips on putting leaflets inside pant pockets in a clothing store. The mall security let them go once they agreed to leave the property and 'never return.' |
