A 15-year-old Okaloosa Academy Charter School student was arrested for offenses against a police dog after he “knowingly and maliciously” harassed a K-9 dog named Ruger. According to an Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office report, the boy struck the side of the classroom portable with his hand in an attempt to distract Ruger while his handler was making a special presentation at the school. The Crestview boy was arrested and released to his mother. |
