OPEC agrees to production cut to stem price slide

The OPEC in its extraordinary meeting in Qatar yesterday agreed to a production cut of 1.2 million barrels a day, to stem a three-month slide in prices.

Currently, crude is trading at USD 59.00 per barrel, up 50 cents in after hours access trading on the Nymex.
