Hit Movie Director says Hollywood stars, including Bruce Willis, having political paradigms changed by 9/11 conspiracy documentaries

Paul Joseph Watson

Acclaimed writer-director Richard Linklater, currently riding high on the favorable reception of A Scanner Darkly and best known for his 2003 production School of Rock, has publicly slammed George W. Bush as a "Yalely frat boy" who is in over his head and more corrupt than Richard Nixon.

Linklater also says that his efforts to disseminate documentaries which point the finger at the US government for involvement in 9/11 have changed paradigms for several A-list Hollywood stars - including Bruce Willis.

During a nationally syndicated radio interview, Linklater told host Alex Jones that the actions of the Bush administration were, "The most extreme I've seen in my lifetime - in American history - this kind of executive branch grab of power is so unprecedented - it's frightening."

Saying his film was a political statement, Linklater said that the abuses of the Bush administration were, "So extreme that people don't even know what to do - how do you comment - how do you voice your opposition?"

Asked if he would accept an invitation to view the film at the White House with the President, Linklater was adamant.

"Absolutely not - I've met George Bush before when he was Governor," said Linklater - describing him as a "Yaley frat boy."

"Man, is he in over his head as the President of the United States - that's your worst combination of someone not prepared with their impulses being almost wrong every time - it's painful to watch as a Texan."

Linklater outlined the kind of watchdog role Americans should assume - a necessity that his latest film warns against the consequences of abandoning.

"That's our role, that's our duty - that's what the founding fathers certainly wanted - a kind of a robust dialogue where everyone's a little unsatisfied - what we have now is a small group who are very satisfied - they've taken total control," said Linklater.

"Once you own the media and the outlets and you can control the debate to such a large degree, I wonder if the dissenting voices can even be heard."

Linklater agreed that Bush had dwarfed the crimes of Nixon commenting, "Nixon's a liberal compared to Bush - at least he cared about air quality, drinking water, things like that."

Linklater said he had handed out DVD's on set which carried claims that 9/11 was perpetrated by the US government to erect a police state to Bruce Willis, one of the stars of Linklater's upcoming Fast Food Nation.

"He said it put him in such a head space that he will be quiet on issues of national policy."

Linklater said Willis had told him in an e mail that the videos had changed his entire political paradigm.

"Bruce is a pretty thinking radical kind of guy," said Linklater.

A Scanner Darkly, an adaptation of a Philip K. Dick book that includes themes of total surveillance and the loss of freedom, is set in the short-term future after the US has lost the war on drugs. Starring Keanu Reeves, Wynona Rider, Woody Harrelson and Robert Downy Jnr. - the film is enjoying positive reviews as it slowly rolls out across the country.

I thought all of the Bush-bashers were going to "escape" to Canada if George W. won in 2004.

It would seem that the lack of communcation wtith those who knew certtain people were requesting training as pilots has a strange ring to it like the warnings before the attack on Pearl Harbor. I fetl that attack was known about but wise people kneew that there was no way we could avoid a war and that it would be best to do it as sooon as possible to avoid the complete conquest of Europe. It seems to me that the Bush administration might very well have known that an attack would occur..But ˆI am equally sure that the attack was far more devestating than it was predicted. In addition George Bush always wanted the approval of his father and thoughht that he would correct what he viewed as his father's mistaake in lending the war when he did. But he ended the war to avoid the hatreds that would be created by an overkill. Bush wanted to prove to his father that he was tought too. THe worst thing he did was squealch the information that a thhink tank robided him about the outcome of such a war with Iraq. Their doom and gloom preciddtions were entirely correct escept for one and that was the collapse of the money. Bush is the most awful president we have ever had and the most stupid and is owned by the energy companies of America.

Linklater, the hypocrite on the environment probably used Chinese film (more oil) to make his egotistical statements about Bush. It is easier to say, "stop' in the middle of an argument than to find a solution. For instance, how do we tell the extreme Muslims to stop hating Israel, or for that matter, any person of Jewish descent throughout the world?

Funny that linklater says Willis says...., but we don't hear Willis saying it. Oh yeah, now I remember why that is, "He said it put him in such a head space that he will be quiet on issues of national policy." Yeah, now I get it, linklater has to speak for Willis cause Willis won't speak. Yeah, right.

What an f'ing clown.

You know what changed on 9/11? We ceased to be a nation of laws and became a dictatorship governed by a criminal racketeering enterprise hellbent on political expediency.Think about it. The worst crimes ever inflicted on American soil in an American city on American civilians in the history of the US and there was NO CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION. All we got was a serendipitous story and summary judgment and a lapdog press tripping over itself to print the legend. Never mind that the government's story is totally full of holes. Never mind that the government obstructed full Congressional investigations, criminal investigations and intimidated the Joint Intelligence Committee. Never mind that there wasn't a single subpoena for information that the government refused to provide to the People. Never mind that massive amounts of criminal evidence was destroyed. Never mind that witnesses were gagged. Never mind that to this day the government has refused to explain why 5 of the alleged hijackers - including the alleged ringleader, Mohamed Atta - were enrolled at secure US military training installations. Never mind why the government has refused to explain any details about the 5 war games occurring simultaneous to the attacks - even denying this information to Congress. Never mind that the government has not complied with FOIA requests. Just blindly believe the bullshit that they tell you. Kill for the bullshit that they tell you. Hate for the bullshit that they tell you. Trash your cherished liberties for the bullshit that they tell you. What changed on 9/11? Perhaps nothing changed. Perhaps it was just a wake up call to the cowardice and stupidity of America. They still can't talk about anything without predicating it on the bullshit that the government told you. That's how hopelessly brainwashed, worthless and weak America has become under this despicable regime. Look at most of the brainwashed halfwits on this thread. Look at these sheeple: these rightwing automatons incapable of independent thought processes who yearn to follow their Fuehrer - their Born Again Mass Murderer-in-Chief - to predictable oblivion. Like the scum that they follow they must live in darkness, fearful of the truth and hateful of those who inquire of the truth.

Isn't Bin Laden something like a 6' 8" Muslim? Wouldn't he stick out like a giant? ,...and why can't the US seem to locate him?,...but I digress,...

The ONLY question to be addressed is, "Why do a race of people on the other side of the world HATE THE US SO MUCH?" Gee, is it because the US continues to try to influence their way of life? "If you're NOT LIKE US, then you must be a terrorist!"

I wonder if Americans would be a bit upset if the Muslim-orientated countries decided the US must give up Texas to Isreal for a new home. If you can't read between the lines here, you're probably a Republican.
