 This is an an actual letter to the editor at the Clarion Ledger.The recent series of vicious attacks upon some of our senior citizens in Jackson is truly shocking. Thus, Mayor Frank Melton's announcement that he will declare a state of emergency regarding Jackson's exploding crime problem is an idea whose time has come. Hopefully it will include the declaration of martial law and the imposition of roadblocks and door-to-door home searches to arrest those with outstanding felony warrants, to confiscate illegal guns and drugs, and to detain illegal aliens invading our country.
