The Trump administration is considering partnering with Google, Amazon and Apple in a proposal which may use data collected from in-home listening devices to rate Americans with a social credit score to determine whether they can own a gun. Though the proposal is starting as a voluntary data collection scheme allegedly aimed at finding warning signs of mental illness, we all know so-called "voluntary" government programs often become mandatory at the drop of a hat. From The Daily Caller (via The Gateway Pundit): The Trump administration is considering a proposal that would use Google, Amazon and Apple to collect data on users who exhibit characteristics of mental illness that could lead to violent behavior, The Washington Post reported Thursday. That's nonsensical jargon which simply translates to "we're going to spy on you and ban you from owning a gun based off whatever criteria we deem proper." In practice, we've already seen "red flag" gun laws used to disarm Americans for "threatening" antifa.
Just as with "red flag" laws, any such scheme would be a blatant violation of the First, Second and Fifth Amendments. The document lists several technologies that could be employed to help collect information, including Apple Watches, Amazon Echo and Google Home. Geoffrey Ling, the lead scientific adviser on HARPA, told reporters Thursday the plan would require enormous amounts of data and "scientific rigor."This is not only bats**t crazy on the part of the Trump administration but it's more confirmation those Big Tech listening devices people are installing in their homes to "help" them are actually just spying devices which will be used against you by the government to deprive you of your rights.
Even if we're not there yet, it's clear that is the direction they're going. Our ruling oligarchs want to implement a Chinese-style "social credit score" system to rate Americans based off their political views and use that information to deny them of their rights.
Big Tech has already implemented such a system whereby they ban thought criminals from Facebook, YouTube, PayPal, Twitter, Uber, AirBnB and so on, close their Google accounts and even close their bank accounts. Trump doesn't use a computer and doesn't understand technology, so it's clear he had nothing to do with this proposal and it's just going to be placed on his desk to sign off on. I don't know whether he's stupid enough, or blackmailed enough, or gullible enough to sign off on this nonsense but he's already endorsed using red flag laws against his own supporters and called for pre-crime policing, so anything is possible.
