'Blood Everywhere': Mass Shooting Near Mandalay Bay Casino In Las Vegas, 50+ Dead, 200+ Injured

A mass shooting was carried out in Las Vegas Sunday night which reportedly killed at least twenty people and injured over 100.

UPDATE V:

The death toll has jumped dramatically again with police saying there's over 50 dead and 200 injured.

"We are confident but not 100% sure that we have located the female person of interest," Las Vegas Sheriff Joe Lombardo said Monday. This is presumably a reference to MariLou Danley.

USA Today reports the shooter fired from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Casino:
Sheriff Joe Lombardo of Las Vegas Police confirmed at a news conference that the shooter had fired from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay. He said officers responded and the suspect was dead.

He said the suspect was identified as a local resident, but did not name him.

UPDATE I: The death and injury toll was just multiplied by ten.



Police reported on Twitter early Monday morning that they've downed one suspect.

Shots rang out at an open-air music festival in Las Vegas near the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino on Sunday night. Multiple casualties have been reported.

The shooter appeared to be using an automatic weapon, according to witness reports.

“There was blood everywhere,” one witness said.

“People were hit within 20 feet of us,” witness Rick Messick, who said he was in the front row of the concert, told CBS2.

“There were several people laying in the parking lot … they were trying to stop the bleeding,” he added.
