Video out of Durham, North Carolina on Monday shows a leftist mob tear down and smash a confederate memorial in response to the violence this weekend in Charlottesville, Virginia. The mob of around 100 people is seen putting a nylon rope around the statue and pulling it down as one another cheers. Members of the mob are then seen kicking the statue hysterically while screaming and shouting, "No Trump! No KKK! No Fascist USA!" Police are nowhere to be seen.
The memorial was erected in 1924 and features a Confederate soldier holding a rifle along with an inscription reading "in memory of the boys who wore the gray." The protesters proudly showed their faces and posed for photographs they could shared on social media highlighting the piece of American history they illegally destroyed.
Many made black power salutes:
The mob moved to the streets afterwards to block traffic and jeopardize the lives of those who could be experiencing medical emergencies:
Many on social media are noting the similarities with ISIS:
Others said this is an attempt to erase our history:
