Tucker Carlson shared statistics on his show Thursday highlighting the link between immigrants and crime and said the US has in effect "imported a foreign criminal class that operates a multi-billion dollar drug trade within our borders."

"An exclusive analysis of data collected by the Federal Drug Enforcement Agency largely vindicates the president's claim that US immigration policies are contributing to crime in the country," Tucker said.

"Data from each of the DEA's 20 domestic division shows that of the 767 fugitives with known birthplaces, eighty-three percent of them were born outside of this country," he said. "In effect the US has imported a foreign criminal class that operates a multi-billion dollar drug trade within our borders."

Tucker noted how "foreign fugitives dominate the most-wanted lists" in America's most violent cities.

LAPD's most wanted.

"In violence-plagued Detroit, for example, just seven percent of the DEA fugitives are listed as born in the United States," he said. "DEA divisions in New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Seattle and Dallas don't list a single American-born fugitive on their most-wanted lists."

Tucker went on to interview Ann Coulter, noting she was "reviled" for highlighting these facts in the past.

For a Fox News host, his rhetoric was extra-spicy.
