A disturbing video out of Phoenix, Arizona shows Mesa police beat a man whom they tackled to the ground with their fists, then an officer slams the man's face into raw pavement. Presumably, the officers were trying to cuff the suspect, but the video shows the man appeared to have his hands at his side, only moving them to guard his head from the officers' repeated blows. Troop Watcher contacted the police department and they said they're holding off on calling the incident "excessive force." They said the man tried to cash a stolen check, "barricaded himself in a vacant building, claimed to ha[ve] hostages, and a bomb." |
