Colo. Cops Say They'll Draw Blood If They Suspect You're Driving High -- Refuse The Test And You'll "Lose Your License Longer" Than If Convicted Of DUI (InformationLiberation)
Despite voters moving to loosen pot prohibition in the state of Colorado, the political class is moving to imprison all those who take part in their new found freedom, creating a new regime of law enforcement which may be even worse than before.

Under state law, police who suspect you of driving high can forcibly draw your blood to test the levels of THC within it, if you refuse to let them stab their way into your bloodstream, they'll suspend your license for even "longer" than if you were convicted of a DUI.

The reality is drivers high on marijuana drive perfectly fine as shown in the viral news report below. Of course, the same can't be said of many legal prescription drugs, which you are permitted to be intoxicated on while driving. Additionally, you can jack yourself up on as much caffeine and assorted uppers as you'd like.

The fact is, reckless driving is already a crime. Some people can drive fine high or intoxicated, others cannot. It's the endangering of other peoples' lives that's the criminal act, not having a substance in your bloodstream.

Meanwhile, if there is one group of people who drive more dangerous than any others, it's not drunk drivers, nor "high" drivers, but police themselves who drive like they're above the law speeding around town and weaving through traffic with wild abandon. One police officer in Louisiana was caught speeding 737 times, and yet his police chief refused to fire him. A female trooper in Florida who pulled over a serial-speeding cop said she lives in fear for her life because she was stalked and harassed by other officers for trying to hold the cop accountable. In a surprising bold piece of investigative journalism which actually challenged state power rather than revered it, ABC News' 20/20 set up speed traps for police officers, then chased the cops down and confronted them for their reckless driving. Despite being publicly exposed for breaking the very laws they're sworn to uphold and enforce, none of the officers were fired.

P.S. If you want to see the absolute horror of what it looks like when cops forcibly draw peoples' blood watch this video.
