CNN’s Don Lemon scored an anonymous interview with a high school friend of the two Boston Marathon bombing suspects, which offered some candid details about just how “American” they were. Speaking of the younger brother, Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev, 19, the friend told CNN he was “American as anybody,” which to him included “going to parties” and “smoking a little weed here and there.” “I was pretty shocked,” the friend told CNN, saying he called his own brother and said, “Dude, that’s our friends that we knew from high school.” Of Dzhokhar, who is still being pursued by police, the friend said he was a “walking angel.” “He’s as American as anybody,” the friend continued, “hangs out, goes to parties, smokes a little weed here and there.” He added, “It’s not like he’s some foreign dude,” explaining that he was raised in the United States. “He’s just as American as I am or anybody else is.” Watch video below, via CNN: |
