Sean Combs tested the system in Birmingham, Michigan by openly carrying an M-1 rifle, strapped to his back, through the quaint streets of new-money, downtown Birmingham. He was acquitted on charges of brandishing a firearm and disturbing the peace. The amazing fact is that Sean is only eighteen years old. The Observer & Eccentric writes:
Combs just graduated high school in June and had received the long gun -- a vintage 1942 M1 Garand .30 caliber combat rifle -- as a gift from one of his brothers on his 18th birthday.

In his testimony, Combs said he decided to walk around with the rifle to exercise his civil rights.
He knew he wasn't breaking the law, and thus he refrained from showing his ID to prove his age. That is what set off the cops, and then he was then arrested. It is interesting how the police carried out the charges, even while blatantly confusing "brandishing" with open carry.
