According to Dallas SWAT officer Terigi Rossi, who was featured on the A&E TV show Dallas SWAT but later demoted after being found sleeping on the job, threatening to break a child's "f*cking neck" while telling him to "shut the f*ck up" is not a violent death threat, but a "verbal judo technique" that he uses to "calm suspects down." Incidentally, calling a boy a "piece of f*cking sh*t," "just like your mother" and threatening to have him put in a foster home is also a part of this innovative technique, as that's just what Rossi did when responding to a 911 hang-up call at the boy's apartment complex in north central Dallas in October of last year. Video of the incident was only just released after a local news station filed an open records request to find out what happened. For his total lack of professionalism and issuance of death threats towards a child, the officer was punished with a three-day paid vacation. Watch a video report on the case courtesy of WFAA: |
