A video of Palm Beach Sheriff’s deputies beating a man at a traffic has just been uncovered by local CBS 12 in Florida.

The video clearly shows Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office tasering, pepper-spraying and beating a man at a traffic stop after they say he “resisted” them.

The stop occurred on November 28, 2013, and involved the locally-notorious Deputy Ernest Cantu – who has shot at least three other suspects to death in the past, including just over a month ago in April.

The Palm Beach Herald notes that this video “surfaces just as news of Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies are under investigation for alleged excessive force on a suspect who suffered a broken orbital bone during an arrest.”

The police report reveals that the deputies pulled over Shawn Harris, who was “uncooperative” with the officers, refusing to step out of the van when told to.

The Palm Beach Herald reports that “when deputies asked Hawkins if he had any weapons, he handed them a pocketknife. He then became belligerent” and police said they could “smell alcohol.”

All of these justifications the officers attempted to give did nothing to explain their behavior. Once Hawkins was already in cuffs, they held him down, shoves his face into the side of the van and punched him over and over for no reason at all.

After all of that, another deputy pepper sprayed him. Then they tasered him.

At one point the pepper spray got into the eyes of the other deputies which caused them to scatter.

They were so mad that they pepper sprayed themselves, that they beat Hawkins (who was still restrained), a little bit more for good measure.
