Sheriff's deputy Grady Keith Concord was just sentenced after pleading guilty to extorting a woman to manufacture methamphetamine using pseudoephedrine he stole from the sheriff's office evidence room. From the Cullman Times: BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Former Winston County Sheriff's deputy Grady Keith Concord, 42, has been sentenced to serve three years and nine months in federal prison for extorting a woman to cook methamphetamine.The manufacturing of meth is extremely dangerous and involves highly toxic and flammable chemicals. This woman and her children could have been burned alive in their home if there was an accident. The officer was facing up to 20 years and a $250,000 fine on the extortion charge, as well as 20 years and a $1 million dollar fine on the manufacturing charge. We'll see how much leniency he gets as a result of his "blue privilege." |
