Under the guise of allowing people to film police, which is already entirely legal, Conneticut democrats are pushing a bill which would give police new powers to force citizens to stop filming. From FOX CT: State lawmakers are considering a bill focused on when and where the public can point a camera at scenes of police activity. Cop everywhere already falsely claim citizens filming them is "interfering with their duties," which it should be noted is already a crime. There is absolutely no need for this bill, it's an underhanded backdoor attempt to enshrine in law the power for police to force citizens to stop filming. |
