Lawyer Creates DUI Search 'Refusal Sign' To Place In Car For Floridians

From HonorYourOath:

!!! WARNING !!!
Use this sign at your own risk.
Results may very.
Asserting your rights in the presence of law enforcement is extremely DANGEROUS. By asserting your rights in the presence of law enforcement you are putting your property, liberty, and life in great peril.

This sign can be used at checkpoints as well as traffic stops. The statutes referenced on the sign apply whenever operating a motor vehicle. The specific sign that I used in this video is for use in Florida only. Please visit http://fairdui.org for info on states other than Florida.

Sav of IMV Films http://www.imvfilms.com alerted me to this New Years Eve DUI Checkpoint in Gainesville Florida. I wanted to test the FairDUI sign in an actual checkpoint. My goal was to role through the checkpoint with doors locked, windows up and not say a single word.

9823 I don't drink and drive. I save my drinking for after the drive is done for the day. Just like my flying (I'm also a pilot). Or my boating. But I am offended by law enforcement people who disregard the laws, to do whatever suits them. The bullies need to be reminded we are a nation of laws.

7521 Very dangerous advise, almost certain to earn obstruction charge.

1. SC has ruled that at DUI checkpoints the Forth is suspended.
2. Ergo, at the checkpoint the police is allowed to search the vehicle without RC. If you don't open the window, you are obstructing that search.
3. Part of their search is engaging you in conversation, to smell the odor. If you refuse to talk, you are obstructing that effort.

The fact that SC has allowed to suspend 4A just because the government has significant interest in violating it (yes, this is how it was justified), is certainly outrageous, but the fact it is.

3759 I have seen enough police brutality videos to know that most police won't tolerate silence and they won't tolerate someone not listening to their orders.
