ISP Told to Take Down ‘Pirate Site’ or Face Money Laundering Issues

A complaint sent to a major webhost by the Federation Against Copyright Theft has threatened to take the issue of ISP liability to a whole new level. LeaseWeb, a company with around 50,000 servers, was warned that if it did not take down a streaming video site it could be considered an accomplice to money laundering offenses. The company’s senior counsel informs TorrentFreak that these “strong arm” tactics only make FACT’s other claims look suspicious.
