Denver Won't Pay Victim In Excessive Force Case, Even Though He Won Case

DENVER — A man who was awarded tens of thousands of dollars in an excessive force case that was caught on video, will have to try to collect the money himself.

The city of Denver says it’s not paying.

5029 Ok - the guy is going to get his money - Just not from the taxpayers. He's going to get money from the assaulting deputy. I mean - this is how it should be. You want to get cops to stop the brutality? - Make them pay for it out of their own pocket. There is no greater intensive for decision making then money. This story is actually a good thing - not a bad thing.
