Phoenix Cop: "I've Got One Tool, To Beat People Up And Take Them To Jail"

Chris | InformationLiberation

Phoenix police officer Richard Greco wore a department issued lapel camera throughout his "service," after complaints were filed against him the videos of his patrols were finally watched, and what was shown was a cop acting like, well, a cop. (Incidentally, enforcing idiot laws written by criminal politicians doesn't exactly attract the best and brightest.)

Surprisingly, Greco was fired after the videos were reviewed. (If only he had killed someone and their dog, then he'd still have a job.)

While this officer was fired for being candid and honestly stating how he viewed the scumbag public he was tasked with ruling over, other officers made to wear lapel cams have been filmed going on terroristic rampages. (See: Lapel Cam Reveals A Day In The Life Of A U.S. Police Officer (Tasing, Beating, Breaking & Entering, Stomping On Heads... and Laughing About It))

Every cop in the US should be required to wear one of these cameras, and every patrol should be a matter of public record freely watchable by anyone on YouTube.

Surely most cops will find this acceptable, after all, if they're not doing anything wrong, what do they have to hide?

We shouldn't have to wait for a complaint to be filed before any of these videos are watched, let the public crowd-source through these lapel cams and I assure you we'll find reason to fire every officer on the force.

Anyone who still has the idea cops are out "serving the public" and maintaining "law and order" would have their entire paradigm shifted if they were forced to watch any "average" officer who is on the beat enforcing the state's criminally insane drug laws and the thousands of other useless regulations on the books, the truth is most laws serve as nothing more than tools for the state to more efficiently dominate it's slaves.

As Richard Greco candidly stated, he's only got "one tool" when it comes to "law enforcement" -- to beat people up and take them to jail.

75145 I watched the video, and I have to say, I don't see anything wrong with what the cop did. Pretty much everything he said was said in calm and even polite manner - yes, even polite, despite the profanities. When he tells the couple that he has only two tools, beat up and lock in jail, he is only being candid and honest. If you think of it, he really has nothing else, and nothing else is his authority - which is why he suggests to the couple that they should seek the resolution of their problems elsewhere, and his interjecting in their relationship won't bring any good. This is wrong? Every word here is 100% true. What he says is basically his own freedom of speech. I didn't see in the video any action that could be qualified as abuse of power, and what he says in his calm voice is not harassment or intimidation.

I have been commenting on dozens of websites about police misconduct, but what I saw in this video is a rare example of NOT being one.

18443 fox reporters call this verbiage "shocking" and it's mild, there are TONS of examples of truly horrible cop actions, this is an example of fake-fox steering people away from the true serious problems by acting like they're on the public's side showing this "oh terrible" cop when this guy is rude and should be reigned in / exposed, but not fired. SO MANY other cops need fired.

the ARTICLE above however has IMPORTANT TRUTHS that every human should be reading and searching for evidence themselves, the evidence is out there, tons of vids of heinous ILLEGAL action by cops. PLEASE keep re-posting the above article, i mean this:

"Every cop in the US should be required to wear one of these cameras, and every patrol should be a matter of public record freely watchable by anyone on YouTube.

Surely most cops will find this acceptable, after all, if they're not doing anything wrong, what do they have to hide?
[also tough shit if they don't find it acceptable, it should be a requirement of employment, if they don't want the job i'm willing to take their job and do it RIGHT, i CARE about people]

70193 This is an example of an inflammatory headline created by the media's irresponsible use of their power. Not condoning all the comments, but have to empathize with the constant bad behavior and total disrespect some of these officers encounter on a daily basis. This officer has contempt for certain behaviors.....can you blame him? Journalists should stick to reporting the "real crimes" committed by officers....such as illegal searches, beatings, excessive force etc... None of which this officer seems guilty of doing.
