Police Come Upon Surrendered Suspect Lying Down With Arms & Legs Spread, Proceed To Viciously Beat Him

When four Canadian police officers came upon a surrendered suspect lying on the ground with his arms and legs spread in a moment of total submission, they did what any "law enforcement" officer in their position would do: beat the man senseless, then lie about it on their police report.

Via CBC:

Four police officers from Trois-Rivières have been suspended with pay over possible misconduct, CBC Radio-Canada has learned.

The suspensions follows an incident during their arrest of an individual suspected of robbery last week.

The officers had been called to a suspected robbery at a pharmacy in the Normanville district of Trois-Rivières early Friday morning.

The four officers then chased a suspect to an area near the Trois-Rivières CÉGEP.

It was what happened during the arrest that has brought the officers' conduct into question.

Trois-Rivières city spokesman, Yvan Toutant, would not confirm what the police are suspected of doing.

He said police officials received information about the arrest which is not consistent with the police report.

In other words, the cops lied. Thankfully, it was all caught on camera.

a holocaust survivor came to speak at my son's school this past week. the women was 4 when she and her aunt escaped a death camp.
he was recounting her story for me, when i started crying. he then told me, "it's okay mom, when she was finished talking - i went and gave her a hug." (of course, i was crying even more by that point), then he said, "i wish you could have been there."
i said: "i was."

Doesn't this "with pay" bullshit make you sick?

It's bad enough they are heartless bastards with egotistical mean streaks in them that do not deserve to wear a badge or hold any position of authority....
but then they are caught in the action of deliberately hurting and violating others (and their oath to serve and protect) and are not prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law....
Like the rest of us would be....

I thought police are supposed to get self-defense training, with many of them trained in martial arts. Police were once known as people not to mess with because the could probably fight well. One trained cop should be enough to handle more than one person who cannot really fight. These days so many cops are weak, relying on group beatings and tasers. The police profession should be disgusted at these thugs - they are not really cops.

Are you kidding, "Possible misconduct"? And how many of you Canadians does it take to facilitate an arrest? Six around the guy and more rolling up. You are a absolute disgrace. The beaters should lose your jobs, go to prison (and hopefully get your punk asses beat), and then be forced to make restitution. Those that don't give honest testimony as to what they saw should lose their jobs.
