In response to recent questions/comments:
• Neither Ron Paul nor any of his representatives ever made us any offer or counter offer for RonPaul.com. The claim of a $50,000 offer we supposedly rejected is PURE FICTION, one of many that we will expose in our defense.

• Ron Paul never personally asked for RonPaul.com. If he really wanted it so badly that he would file a complaint with a UN agency, why didn’t he bother to send just a short email to ask for it?

• Ron Paul never owned RonPaul.com. It was originally owned by another gentleman named Ron Paul.

• During the past 5 years, Ron Paul never asked us to cease operations, never asked us to give him RonPaul.com, and he never offered to pay the costs to build and run our website and mailing list. His campaign and fundraising websites did not refuse traffic from RonPaul.com; Ron Paul knowingly benefited from our site for a substantial period of time and did nothing to stop us. That implies, at the very least, implicit consent.

• If Ron Paul is genuinely questioning our right to own RonPaul.com, then why did his associates ASK us to make him an offer? It was only when he didn’t like our offer that he initiated his effort to confiscate RonPaul.com and get it for free. By having his associates ask us for our offer, he implicitly acknowledged our right to own the domain.

• Why $250k? We’ll explain our reasoning in our upcoming defense, even though we shouldn’t have to… we thought that in a free market we can ask whatever we want, and others are free to make whatever counter offer they want. Ron Paul’s associates were actively asking for our offer; when we sent it and they didn’t like it – but still wanted the domain – the libertarian thing to do would have been to make a counter offer. What’s more, we never made them an offer for just RonPaul.com, it was for RonPaul.com and our mailing list. If they only wanted RonPaul.com, why not make an offer or even just ask “How much for RonPaul.com only, without the list?”

• The idea that we got rich off this site is flattering but completely untrue. Many people are trying to achieve the libertarian dream Ron Paul was fortunate enough to realize for himself: making a living while promoting the cause of liberty. Yet almost nobody achieves it. We never did. (Details will be provided in our defense.)

• If this is the real Ron Paul then what is the point of keeping up our support for him? Should we just turn the other cheek and applaud Ron Paul for trying to deport us from the domain we worked so hard to build up over the past 5 years?

• At this stage we don’t care about potentially losing “a large percentage of members and traffic” or our “supposed reputation as grassroots supporters” over daring to condemn Ron Paul’s attack on us. This site has been a financial and physical drain for many years but we kept working on it out of our loyalty to, and enthusiasm about, Ron Paul and the message of liberty.

• If this is the real Ron Paul then everything we worked and fought for these past 5 years has been a sham and a waste.
