Canadian Officer Seen Punching Man in Head on Video; Faces Charges for Assault & Fabricating Evidence




BARRIE - A Barrie police officer was captured on video delivering repeated blows to a man’s head as he lay pinned facedown on the ground with his arms behind his back — all because of a broken Christmas ornament.

The troubling video, which was played in court on Wednesday, shows Const. Jason Nevill speaking to the man and then suddenly beating him to the ground.

Nevill is now on trial, charged with assault causing bodily harm, fabricating the evidence against the victim and obstruction of justice.

20138 A point ought to be made...some have on the other site to the effect of "police ought to know there are cameras everywhere or they are stupid". They could be stupid, but I have a feeling the reality is there are NOT public cameras everywhere. They get used to being able to do these things because most or many places don't have cameras,or the ones they do can be easily "lost" or fixed afterwards.
Think how many times this happens where it isn't caught on camera. Guaranteed, when you see a cop act like this on camera, he's been doing similar things for a LONG time, til it is "normal" behaviour for him.

21699 you can see the patch of blood that was left by the yellow lines at start of video nothing is there but by 2:14 seconds there is red blood there.
