Defiant and Armed: Idaho Man Rejects U.S. Laws in Radical Trend

It was 8:20 a.m. on a Monday at the county courthouse in Coeur D'Alene, Idaho.

Robert Peterson, then 21, was trying to bring his video camera into the courtroom where he was contesting a minor traffic ticket. When the bailiff told him he couldn't bring his camera inside, Peterson told him to step aside and let him through. When the argument escalated, the bailiff used a stun gun on him. Peterson kept the camera rolling and later posted the incident on YouTube.

Peterson, now 22, said being hit by a stun gun was a small price to pay for his belief that the United States government has no authority over him.

"I'm out to abolish it because there is no salvaging at this point," he said.

It is a belief his mother, Tina Busby, worries could get her son killed.

"My fear is that it's going to end with him getting shot," she said. "That's my ultimate what I think is going to happen."

172219 This news outlet is promoting slavery. I don't recognize the laws of my government as legitimate either. It is a master/slave relationship as it exists today. It's a "do it, or else" situation.

I mean what's next, shooting people for marijuana......wait a minute. The government is your enemy.

9638 As an ex Cda resident myself The young man, though having courage is causing a lot of harm. Idaho has a pretty good record for gun owners and are a lot less strict than other states. The right to carry open is a prime example. You don't need a permit to carry open in Idaho, and in Hayden lake cdas next door neighbor I have a many times, and so have others walk into banks with a pistol on and no one bats/batted an eye.

I think a different approach should be used but as a young man myself at one time I know how easy it is to be gung ho.

65110 After all, if people were to rebel, who would pay for the politicians' expensive estates, cars and clothes? The master-slave relationship would be broken, and they'd have to find a real job.
