Obama's Killer Sense of "Humor"

In show business parlance, it is a high compliment to say that a comedian "kills." When a president acts as a comedian, that expression should be taken literally.

The lengthy and ever-growing list of public hypocrisies committed by Barack Obama was expanded by the following limp witticism he uttered during a recent softball interview with Barbara Walters.

Referring to what he called the "real reason" why he wanted a second term in office, Obama declared: "One of the main incentives of running was continued Secret Service protection so we can have men with guns around at all times" when his teenage daughters begin dating.

That line was a sample of the same tone-deaf sense of humor that inspired his speech-writers to load a supposed thigh-slapper about drone attacks into Obama's teleprompter for the May 1, 2010 White House Correspondents Dinner. Noting the presence of the Jonas Brothers at the event, Obama said that his daughters "are huge fans, but "Ś don't get any ideas. Two words for you: Predator drones. You will never see it coming."

Just weeks ago, Obama -- the murderer of 16-year-old U.S. citizen Abdulrahman al-Awlaki -- engaged in a pantomime of sympathy for the parents of twenty children at Sandy Hook Elementary School who aren't enveloped in Secret Service protection (or protected by nearly a dozen armed men at an elite private school). He continues to dispatch Predator drones that kill innocent people -- many of them children -- without warning. And he's continuing to pursue the disarmament of the American public.

Just as Caligula could count on the fawning laughter of his sycophants, Obama's "killer" sense of humor is a hit with the insular, self-important people in the political and media elite. It's reasonable to assume that bereaved parents of children killed by drone attacks in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Yemen, and elsewhere aren't enchanted by it.

Ha-ha. Too bad Richard Pryor beat him to the punch by releasing an album entitled "That Nigger's Crazy".

Yesterday I saw commercial for a new show called "1600 Penn" in which a very similar joke was made. The president, when talking to a guy who seemed interested in his daughter, let him know that "I have robots that roam the skies".
