Deputies Taser Man In Tree "To Keep Him From Harming Himself," Man Falls & Left Paralyzed For Life

Chris | InformationLiberation

Though this video was just posted, this story happened a year ago, nonetheless it perfectly crystallizes what a complete joke our government is. Deputies intent on serving a man a warrant came upon him up a tree, they claimed they thought he was going to harm himself, so in order to keep him from harming himself, they tasered him. He fell out of the tree and was left paralyzed as a result. Meanwhile, the man says he never did anything to indicate he was going to harm himself. The deputies "conducted an investigation" into themselves and found themselves not guilty. Of course, chances are the police just tased him to get him out of the tree because they thought it was easier than pulling him down or waiting him out, but that they would lie and claim they did it because they "thought he was going to harm himself," permanently harming him by paralyzing him in the process, then exonerate themselves of any wrongdoing in a final coup de grâce "F you," is just too rich. That's government "services" for you. Paralyzing you for your own protection.

97104 When I was a 11, I was praised for being smart enough to pull a burning wastebasket away from curtains, before trying to put it out. (I was also punished for starting the fire, but then...)

Clearly, these guys don't have the logical sequence of an 11-year-old.

17454 This is a no brainer
a) wait to see whether or not the guy is going to hurt himself.
b) taze him for not listening to orders and watch him fall out of the tree.
Bottom line is police action resulted in this man's injuries.Yes the dept should pay this man.

16240 At first I thought that these deputies must both be insane to think that shooting someone 15' up a tree with a tazer is a good idea. But after watching the video and seeing that they have it written on a piece of paper that electrocution is the correct choice to be made on the pathway to preservation of the lower class I understand. Any lingering doubts I had were removed by their thorough and maticulous investigation of themselves.
The man in the wheelchair probably sends them a thank you card every year because as agents of the pre-harm prevention culture they have thoughtfully prevented him from a myriad of other potential maladies such as falling off a bicycle or twisting an ankle while playing catch with his kids.
Of course being stuck in a wheelchair is going to limit his future ability to make a living. One job I think he would be extremely qualified to do though would be county sheriff. With his perspective as someone who has been on the other side of the tazer these deputies would have the opportunity to learn a lot from him.
