I remember growing up as a child being told in China they would execute people and then bill their family for the bullet. Perhaps that story should be retired now and updated with America as the new tyrant, specifically the NYPD, who after killing a man by ramming him with their patrol car, sent his family a bill for $710 to repair a dent from where their cruiser hit him.
Via Madison Ruppert:
[...]the NYPD actually sent a bill to fix the dent left by now dead 23-year-old Tamon Robinson, who was killed by an NYPD vehicle in Brooklyn in April, to his still-mourning family. So, after getting bad press over the incident, they rescind the bill, how nice of them. It's worth noting, while this story is absolutely outrageous, is it not equally outrageous the nature of government itself, in which the monopolist provider of "services" that is the state, decides how much "service" tax-slaves need in the form of "protection," and sends taxpayers the bill for their monopolist racket? As individuals, you do not get to decide whether or not you want the police's "services," you do not get to take your money elsewhere, you do not get to "opt-out," and there is absolutely no choice between competing services, as competition is outlawed by the monopolist state. This is the reason all government "services," but especially police, are such a complete joke, and rather than "serving" the public, they serve the state. Unfortunately, there's no public pressure against that form of ransom, as all governments the world over carry out the same racket. It's the honest citizens who actually follow the law who are forced to pay for everyone else, and it's the criminals with badges who send us all the bill.
